As authors, we don’t like to support a billion dollar company but they just make it so easy and smooth, like a bald head. The distribution scheme is a bit dodgy, but gosh the books are cheap to print.
What if we told you, we can match Amazon’s price and make your books with friendly local service. We are serious!
At Aburra Press, our production and expertise is specialised for short run books. Short run mean anywhere between 10 - 200 books. That is the sweet spot. At around 100 books we can start to match Amazon’s pricing.
We recommend going with our standard book size of 154x220 mm instead of the American 6x9 inches. The size is optimal for Australian standard paper sizes, meaning minimal less paper wastage, meaning good for the environment.
Our production is not automated and sterile like Amazon. You will never have to suffer the indignity of using an online spine calculator. You can give us a call and we will go measure a real book on your paper for you.
Our turnaround times are quite amazing too, from final artwork approval to pickup of finished books all within 48 hours for most jobs! The only downside is that we might take a keen interest in your work.
